Graham Park Middle School
The Multilingual Family Transliteracies Program at Graham Park Middle School was a beautifully organized and emotionally moving celebration of student voices. At the heart of the evening were 17 talented student authors, who proudly presented their multilingual books, showcasing the power of storytelling, culture, and community in education. The dedication of Teacher Janira Collado, the school staff, and the administration was evident in the seamless execution of the event and the high level of engagement from attendees. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with families, teachers, and administrators actively participating. A live music performance featuring rhythmic drumming and string instruments set the tone for the night, while the principal and assistant principal ensured everything ran smoothly, making it a truly memorable and impactful program.
